Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive Scientist to join our Animal Sports team! As part of our team, you will provide a quality analytical chemistry service to customers such as the BHA, IHRB, FEI, and GBGB. This includes planning and conducting work (sample extraction and detection) in accordance with ISO17025, performing maintenance on scientific equipment (including mass spectrometers), and interpreting analytical data to present results and conclusions. You will be adaptable, performing additional analyses and investigations as needed.

We seek a teammate who works flexibly and proactively, bringing new insights. The ideal candidate is a confident presenter, capable of discussing and answering queries with a range of partners, and possesses strong interpersonal skills. A hardworking individual with a positive attitude, effective time management, and operational awareness to improve output and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in a biological or chemical science.
  • Knowledge and experience of mass spectrometry, particularly GC-MS and LC-MS.
  • Excellent laboratory skills.
  • Sound scientific knowledge with experience in chromatography and related techniques.
