Job summary

Basildon University Hospital is seeking an Anaesthetic Practitioner to join the operating theatres team on a flexible shift pattern. You will identify and assemble equipment, prepare the clinical area and support patients and families with clear communication during elective, emergency, and trauma procedures.

Candidates must hold HCPC registration and have at least 1 year post-graduate experience, including 6 months UK experience in the last three years; the role offers NHS-friendly shifts and

Job description

Client Name: Basildon University Hospital

Role: Anaesthetic Practitioner

Rates: £17.38 – £19.48 per hour

Shifts: Available Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00

Key Responsibilities:

• To safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list.
• Prepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures.
• Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using various methods to ensure effective understanding.
• Contribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g. through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.
• Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritise the care for patients undergoing a surgical / anaesthetic procedure.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current HCPC registration
• At least 1 years’ post-graduate experience.
• 6 months recent UK experience within the last 3 years
