The Department provides comprehensive anaesthetic services to obstetrics, elective orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, general and day-case surgery, and a High Dependency Unit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of patients.
• Share responsibility for day-to-day patient care and service delivery.
• Promote new ways of working and coordinate care across the community.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff and contribute to teaching, research and administration.
• Actively participate in departmental and Trust governance and audit.
