Job summary
The Opportunity Hub UK is seeking a Service Engineer (Industrial Refrigeration) to join a sustainability-led, European-engineered team. Based in Doncaster, this on-site role covers the UK, diagnosing faults, carrying out planned maintenance and repairs to ammonia refrigeration systems, with 24/7 remote monitoring support.
You will collaborate with the European engineering team, maintain compliant service records, and relay clear, technical updates to clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years' experience in industrial refrigeration or related field.
- Hands-on ammonia refrigeration system experience; ammonia handling certificate is essential.
- Full UK driving licence; right to work in the UK.
- Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Clear client-facing communication and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform on-site repairs across UK sites.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and commissioning support.
- Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with European engineering team via remote monitoring platform.
- Explain work performed to clients and outline any follow-up actions.
