Trowers & Hamlins LLP is seeking an AML & Conflicts Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Birmingham to support client onboarding and compliance processes.

You will assist with AML checks, due diligence, and conflicts searches, while liaising with fee earners and the Risk & Compliance Team to ensure accurate and efficient onboarding.

Qualifications

• Graduate, or someone with previous compliance experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
• Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.

Description

Join Trowers & Hamlins on a 6 month fixed term contract and develop a career in legal compliance as part of our Business Intake Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in risk and compliance to gain exposure to AML and conflicts processes within a leading international law firm.

The Role

This role supports the firm's client onboarding and compliance processes, ensuring AML and conflicts checks are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
• Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
• Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
• Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
