Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an AMHP Team Manager to lead our Approved Mental Health Professional service. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management across council offices, hospitals and community settings, ensuring safe and lawful Mental Health Act practice.

The post offers hybrid working with a base at Resource House, and is supported by a stable, experienced team with strong staff retention.

Qualificações

• Professional qualification as a social worker and AMHP registration.
• Experience leading AMHP services and supervising staff.
• Full driving license and daily access to a car.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the AMHP service to ensure safe, lawful Mental Health Act work and professional standards.
• Manage day-to-day service, allocate work, resources and performance.
• Lead and support AMHPs through supervision and development.
• Engage people and carers in service development and AMHP approvals.
• Build relationships with partners and represent the AMHP service in meetings.
• Continuously improve the service using feedback and learning.
