Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a permanent Team Manager for the Bolton AMHP Hub, a frontline Adult Social Care service. The role is full-time (37 hours) with a Level K grade and requires AMHP approval and a full driving licence.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee governance and performance, and work with health, police and partners to improve outcomes for adults needing mental health support. The postholder will provide supervision, lead quality assurance, and drive service development

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered social worker with Social Work England and AMHP approval.
• Substantial AMHP practice experience in complex environments.
• Strong leadership, management and performance improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and line management for the weekday AMHP Hub, ensuring compliance with statutory duties.
• Deliver a responsive, high-quality AMHP service, manage demand and rota arrangements, coordinate with partners and the Emergency Duty Team.
• Provide professional supervision to AMHPs and social workers, oversee approval processes, and promote CPD and staff wellbeing.
