Job summary

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Vehicle Preparation Operatives to join a reserve pool for upcoming vacancies. The role covers make ready prep of ambulances and cars, ensuring stock and cleanliness meet daily demands, with flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Applicants must be fully flexible and have a valid UK driving licence (incl.

C1). DBS and right-to-work in the UK are required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience of stock taking.
• Experience of driving a variety of vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence including C1 entitlement.
• Must be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Good standard of general education (3 GCSEs) incl English & Maths.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean and ready to meet daily operational requirements.
• Maintain correct stocking of clinical equipment and consumables.
• Adhere to Make Ready quality standards and the deep cleaning schedule.
• Assist with basic vehicle inspection and minor running repairs as required.
• Provide staffing for Make Ready to ensure adequate operational coverage.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and report any hazards or incidents.
