Join to apply for the Ambulance Care Assistant role at AVS Newcastle Ltd.

Location: Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran, NP44 8YN

Contract: Fixed Term until March 2026

Hours: 18 hours/week over 2 shifts, Mon-Fri, 10am-8pm (rota basis)

Salary: £23,587.20/year pro rata (£12.60/hour)

Experience is desirable, but full training is provided.

We seek enthusiastic, caring individuals to support our Patient Transport and Clinical Service team.

  • Provide safe, comfortable patient transport, observing road and driving conditions.
  • Assist patients based on their mobility needs, working as part of a crew.
  • Support hospital operations by communicating with patients and medical staff, especially in A&E.
  • Be sensitive and caring, especially when working with vulnerable people.
  • Previous customer service experience and awareness of patients' physical needs are beneficial.

Driving: Full UK Driving Licence required, minimum 2 years' holding license, manual gearbox experience preferred.

Application deadline: 25th June 2025. Interviews: 7th July 2025 at Grange University Hospital.

Mandatory training: 11th-15th August 2025 at Cardiff Office (attendance required).
