These firms often excel in quality of work, profitability, and earning potential. They are interested in hiring talented associates and senior associates (minimum 5 PQE) who have an existing client following and are ambitious to build a significant practice.

At this level, you will be on a trajectory toward partnership. However, external factors might impact your ability to grow or the valuation of your skills. As someone with 5+ PQE, you should be conscious of positioning for future partnership.

Clients seek future partners, and to stand out from other associates, you should confidently bring a client following of at least £80-200k, depending on practice area.

Successful candidates will have at least 5 years PQE from a UK City or West End law firm and must be England & Wales qualified solicitors.

You may currently work at a boutique firm or a Top 50 City or US law firm, seeking a more entrepreneurial environment. You should have a personal brand that attracts instructing clients, not just institutional clients.
