Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an ambitious Chef on a full-time basis contracted to 40 hours per week to create exceptional food experiences across our venues. You will prepare and serve high-quality dishes, implement menu changes, and help drive improvements in service and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, have supervising experience, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a flexible approach.

Qualifications

• Passion for great-tasting food and delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in supervising a kitchen team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Support creation of new menus and food concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning and hygiene to meet standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
