Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an ambitious Chef to join Chartwells on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week (approx. 40.6 weeks per year).

The role involves preparing and serving high-quality food, leading menu changes and driving improvements across our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, a Food Hygiene certificate, and proven experience supervising a team in a similar Chef role.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team is essential.
• Experience in a similar Chef role is essential.
• Flexible approach to working is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
