Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Dundee office. The role focuses on commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final account, with emphasis on NEC contract administration and cost control.

The candidate will support subcontractor procurement, valuations and package management, and will prepare and review payment applications while monitoring budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Practical experience with NEC forms of contract essential.
• Good understanding of subcontractor procurement, valuations and cost control.
• Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work full-time from the Dundee Office; QS qualification or relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final account.
• Support the administration of NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events and variations.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations and package management.
• Prepare and review valuations, payment applications and subcontractor accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and change management.
• Work closely with senior commercial staff and project delivery teams.
