Sewell Wallis are partnering with a growing business in Barnsley to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. The role focuses on month-end activities and provides training to progress within the finance function.

You will support management accounts, liaise with site teams, and contribute to regular reporting and forecasts while developing wider financial knowledge within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent).
• Strong IT knowledge, especially Excel and accounting systems.
• Attention to detail and financial awareness.
• Ability to build relationships through effective communication.
• Quick learner with ability to retain and apply information.

Responsibilities

• Produce management accounts alongside the Management Accountant.
• Liaise with site teams and operational managers for reporting data.
• Present figures at monthly meetings with operational leaders.
