Sewell Wallis Limited are working with a well established business in Harrogate seeking a Management Accountant to join the team. The role focuses on producing accurate management information for the Group's divisional portfolio and is ideal for a part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA candidate aiming to become fully qualified in the next few years.

• Experience of accounting processes in a large/high volume organisation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production of management accounts to high quality, on time.
• Prepare, review and document monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns.
• Build relationships with divisional finance teams and Group functions.
• Support data for external/internal audits and monthly process improvements.
• Review and implement improvements to finance processes and controls.
• Maintain procedure notes for all areas of responsibility.
• Contribute to group Finance projects as directed.

This Management Accountant role will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information across the Group's divisional portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA candidate who has ambitions to be fully qualified within the next few years and progress into a more senior role.

What will you be doing?

• Assist the team in the production of the management accounts, ensuring they are produced to a high quality and within published timetables.
• Prepare, review and document monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with Divisional finance teams and other Group functions.
• Assist in the compilation of data to support external and internal audit requirements and other information required for year end reporting, identifying efficiencies and improvements where annual processes can be streamlined into monthly tasks.
• Review, suggest improvements, and assist in the implementation of changes to the processes and controls around all aspects of finance
• Ensure appropriate procedure notes are maintained, updated and documented for all areas of responsibility
• Be involved in key projects within the Finance Team and the Group as directed

What skills will you need?
