Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited in Tredegar Head Office is seeking an ambitious Accountant to provide comprehensive accounting support within a growing group. The role offers a competitive salary and a benefits package.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage AP and payroll, oversee stock and inventory, assist with tax compliance, and drive process improvements. On-site role with 25 days leave, Perkbox, gym discounts, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years working in a finance team with month-end exposure.
• SME background is preferred; strong Excel and ERP system experience.
• Part-qualified or QBE with study support available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, reviewing sales, COGS, margins and overheads; post accruals and prepayments; perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process monthly payroll journals and related accounting entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable: invoices, purchase ledger, supplier payments, GRNI review.
• Oversee inventory accounting: stock takes, valuations, variances.
• Support VAT and US Sales Tax compliance with external advisers.
• Coordinate half-year stock take planning and execution.
• Review employee expenses and support Finance team colleagues.
• Maintain and improve finance processes and internal controls.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to the Finance Director and CFO.
