Job summary

First Mile is a leading UK sustainability services provider delivering waste management and recycling solutions to thousands of business customers. The Spare Operations Support Executive (OSE) – AM role supports daily collection and delivery operations across shifts, with routine Monday–Friday hours and flexible cover for holidays.

The position requires strong organisation and the ability to adapt quickly to operational needs.

Qualifications

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident in a fast-paced operational environment and quick to adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong communication skills with drivers and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support daily dispatch, ensuring drivers, vehicles, loaders and rounds are allocated correctly.
• Monitor rounds, respond to issues, and maintain information in Salesforce and other systems.
• Investigate missed or urgent collections and new service requirements, and reallocate as needed.
• Provide flexible cover across the AM OSE team during holidays and peak periods.
