Job summary

Technical Placements Ltd in Stockport is seeking an experienced MIG Welder with aluminium experience to join a defence-manufacturing environment. The role is permanent and based in Stockport, focusing on welding aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications.

You will work from drawings, prepare, weld, dress and finish components, and inspect welds for quality while adhering to safety and production schedules. Strong QA focus and relevant welding qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Aluminium MIG welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding processes and quality standards.
• Experience identifying welding defects.
• Relevant welding qualifications or certifications advantageous.
• Experience in heavy engineering or defence beneficial.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced MIG Welder with Aluminium experience to join a leading defence manufacturer in Stockport, working on the assembly of complex military engineering systems.

This is a hands-on welding position within a modern manufacturing environment, offering great career prospects and working conditions, where you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded assemblies in line with engineering drawings, welding specifications and required quality standards.

As a Welder, you will:
