Job summary

Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater is seeking a dedicated professional to join the Alternative Provision team. You will support students individually and in groups, while leading SEMH and behaviour support to raise achievement and promote independence. You will work closely with the Alternative Provision Lead to create an inclusive learning environment.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 days, starting 01/09/2026. Closing date: 31/08/2026. Interviews soon after.

Qualifications

  • Experience planning and leading teaching and learning activities (under supervision) within a school setting.
  • Operates with integrity in a school environment.
  • Has a good standard of education (5 GCSEs with English and Maths C or above).
  • Experience applying a range of strategies to support students in the classroom with minimal supervision.
  • Believes every child deserves the best opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support students individually, in groups and in the classroom.
  • Lead on SEMH and behaviour support across the provision.

Job description

Chilton Trinity School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our Alternative Provision team. Working closely with the Alternative Provision Lead, you will play a key role in raising student achievement, promoting independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, and supporting learners to access the curriculum and experience success. The successful candidate will provide effective support to students individually, in groups and within the classroom, while leading on SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and behaviour support across the provision.You’ll be part of a supportive and ambitious team who are committed to helping every child reach their full potential. You’ll join colleagues who work collaboratively to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where staff and pupils thrive together.
