Vision for Education are working with an Alternative Provision in BS9, North Bristol, who are looking for dedicated support staff to join their team. The provision supports both primary and secondary aged students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping young people re-engage with education and develop the skills they need to succeed.
This role would suit experienced support staff who have worked with children, young people or vulnerable individuals and are passionate about making a positive impact.
As part of the support staff team, you will work closely with students throughout the school day, providing support with learning, emotional regulation, behaviour and personal development.
You will build positive relationships with pupils, support classroom activities, encourage engagement and work alongside teachers and other support staff to create a safe, consistent and supportive environment.
The ideal support staff candidate will be calm, patient and resilient, with experience supporting young people who may display challenging behaviours. Experience within SEMH, alternative provision, youth work or behaviour support would be highly beneficial.
