Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an Alternative Provision Lead for an SEN school in Rochdale. You will lead the provision, support SEMH/ESBD pupils, and drive engagement and reintegration into education.

The role requires QTS, leadership experience and a proactive approach to behaviour management, with a focus on safeguarding and inclusive practice. Immediate start and flexible contract options available.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience with SEMH/ESBD needs.
• Leadership experience in education.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the provision.
• Support and motivate secondary pupils with SEMH/ESBD.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Promote positive behaviour, resilience and engagement.
• Oversee 12-week intervention programmes.
• Collaborate with staff, families and professionals.
• Incorporate sport/physical activity to engage learners.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
