Job summary

UCS College Group in Taunton is seeking a team leader to lead and manage a team of learning support assistants. You will provide day to day guidance, morning briefings, regular 1:1 meetings, developmental reviews and appraisals to ensure high quality support for learners with SEND.

With an experienced AL Support team and close working with curriculum staff, you will coordinate a range of targeted programmes, including in-class support and assistive technology, while benefiting from hybrid

• Lead and manage a team of learning support assistants, with day-to-day guidance, morning briefings, 1:1 meetings, developmental reviews and appraisals.
• Staff work with curriculum to organise and implement tailored support programmes for learners with SEND, including Specialist Teaching and Exam Access Arrangements.

The Additional Learning Support area is responsible for providing additional learning support across the College to full and part-time learners. Our aim at UCS College Group is for all students with additional support needs to have equal access to the curriculum and work towards meeting their full potential with our support.

These may have a range of learning difficulties/disabilities which include specific learning difficulties, autistic spectrum, ADHD/ADD Visual Impairment, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, and mental health issues.

Full time & Term Time Only

£25,906 - £27,602 per annum (Actual)

£29,226 - £31,139 per annum FTE (Scale 6)

We are looking for a team leader to lead and manage a team of learning support assistants, providing day to day guidance, morning briefings, regular 1:1 meetings, developmental reviews and appraisals. As a college we are committed to continuing to support our team of LSA’s to provide empowering, high quality support to our learners with SEND.

Additional Learning Support has a dedicated, highly qualified and experienced team. The staff work closely with curriculum staff in organising and implementing a wide range of support programmes each tailored to the needs of individual learners. We can offer Specialist Teaching, Specialist Assignment Support, In-class Support, Small Group Workshops, Equipment Support, Specialist Counselling, Mentoring, Exam Access Arrangements, and Assistive Technology Support.
