Your new School Hays are recruiting a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant in Cardiff for a Special Educational Needs School catering for pupils aged 4-11 with a variety of additional learning needs. This role involves working with small groups of children with diverse needs and some behavioural challenges. The school boasts a supportive and passionate teaching team eager to welcome new members. With their support, students can thrive and enjoy their education to the fullest. Your New Role

The position is confirmed long-term, starting in January, working 5 days a week. There are also similar positions available within this school and a sister school with immediate start dates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Working with small groups of students with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.
2. Exhibiting patience and empathy when managing challenging behaviours.
3. Creating a safe and engaging learning environment.
4. Assisting teachers with lesson plans.
5. Collaborating closely with other teaching staff.
