Job summary

Newbury Building Society is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join the Treasury team in Newbury. You will focus on ALM, analyze risk positions, and support strategic decision-making to manage asset and liability risk.

You will work closely with the Head of Treasury and CFO, producing insights, assisting with reporting, and contributing to process improvements while operating within the Risk Management Framework.

Qualifications

• Academic background in mathematics or economics.
• Prior experience in Treasury or Asset/Liability Management (ALM).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse interest rate and basis risk positions.
• Support management of derivative counterparty exposures.
• Provide management information and reporting for ALCO, Executive Committee and Board meetings.
• Support regulatory reporting and Treasury systems management.
• Contribute to Treasury process improvements and new analysis capabilities.
• Maintain robust controls within the Risk Management Framework.
