Job summary

Legal & General is seeking an ALM Analyst to support daily and adhoc ALM requests and weekly ALM reporting for Institutional Retirement Finance. The role focuses on accurate delivery, identifying anomalies, and improving reporting processes.

We welcome candidates from finance, investments, insurance, pensions or other data-led environments and encourage collaboration across teams. You will work with Excel, data analysis, and automated workflows to ensure robust reporting and clear communication

Qualifications

• Experience delivering recurring analytical, finance or reporting outputs to firm deadlines.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Evidence of checking results for reasonableness and escalating issues.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting and solving process problems.
• Comfort working with code, models or automated workflows.
• Clear communication with colleagues across different specialist teams.
• Attention to detail, ownership and curiosity.
• Interest in ALM, investments, risk, insurance or pensions.

Responsibilities

• Run the regular weekly ALM MI process and respond to daily/ad hoc ALM requests.
• Check outputs for reasonableness and escalate unusual results.
• Prepare concise analysis and commentary on key movements.
• Support what-if analysis for trades, new assets, PRT schemes and reinsurance activity.
• Maintain reporting controls, methodology and process documentation.
• Troubleshoot data, model and process issues with senior support.
• Contribute to automation and technology-enabled reporting improvements.
• Communicate delivery status, risks and issues to stakeholders.
