Job summary

RRT is seeking a General Powder Coater and Paint Technician to join our alloy wheel refurbishment team in Luton. You will prepare, coat, and finish wheels using powder coating and wet paint systems to the highest standards, while adhering to quality and safety processes.

This hands-on role requires precision and a dedication to delivering exceptional finishes, including bespoke designs and detailed masking, within a fast-paced workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in alloy wheel refurbishment and coating processes.
• Proficient in powder coating and wet painting.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wheels before preparation and identify defects.
• Prepare wheels for coating, including stripping and masking.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray booths, and ovens.
• Mix and apply wet paints for colour matching as needed.
• Perform post-finish inspections for quality standards.
• Maintain equipment and work areas for safety and efficiency.
• Meet daily production targets and KPIs.
• Record work and report issues or defects.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and keep workspace clean.
• Collaborate with refurbishment team for smooth workflow.
• Execute bespoke finishes and complex masking as required.
