Job summary

Solidus Labs in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Algos Tech Lead to own the Transaction Monitoring detection algorithms and lead the engineering effort end to end. You will mentor the TM team, design high- and low-level systems, and partner with product to deliver on-chain and off-chain monitoring capabilities.

This role requires strong background in fintech or crypto, high-performance coding, and leadership of engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years backend engineering experience
• 2+ years leading or tech-leading a team
• Strong domain knowledge of fintech, payments, banking or crypto and financial crime concepts
• Hands-on with data structures, algorithms, concurrent code and PR review
• Experience with high-throughput data systems (Kafka, ClickHouse, Snowflake)
• Proven ownership of architecture decisions and detailed implementation design
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-engineering stakeholders
• Experience with AI coding and coding harnesses

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the TM engineering team
• Own implementation of the offchain TM detection suite
• Drive on-chain TM development and data pipelines
• Defend design: architecture, data models, detection logic
• Collaborate with Global Product on on-chain roadmap
• Shape architecture shipping TM and TS together
• Work with compliance and solutions teams on alert quality and tuning
