Job summary

The Actuary is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to analyse, document and validate data mappings between legacy investment systems and target platforms, including BlackRock Aladdin.

You will work with business users, data and tech teams to understand data usage, ensure mappings, support testing, and produce clear documentation for delivery and support teams in a fast-paced environment. The role is London-based and offers exposure to major investment platform transformations.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years' experience in a Data Analyst, Data Migration Analyst or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to analyse, reconcile and investigate complex datasets.
• Experience documenting source-to-target mappings and data transformation requirements.
• Experience supporting system migrations, data migrations or large-scale change programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
• Strong experience with Tableau and or PowerBI
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience producing high-quality documentation suitable for both business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data structures, attributes and relationships across investment, risk and operational systems.
• Document source-to-target data mappings from legacy platforms into Aladdin and target-state solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data usage and impacts of changes.
• Validate mapping outputs through data analysis and reconciliation activities.
• Support testing by defining test scenarios, reviewing results and investigating issues.
• Document data definitions, business rules, transformations and exceptions.
• Coordinate with technology, data management and programme teams to track issues and actions.
• Produce clear, accurate documentation for delivery and support teams.
• Communicate progress, risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
