Job summary

Police Scotland, via the Digital Division, is seeking an Airwave Communications Officer to design, implement and support the force's communications infrastructure for officers and staff across Scotland. You will help ensure services align with Police Scotland strategy, advise users and manage a large fleet of mobile devices.

Qualifications

Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining communications infrastructure.
Ability to provide technical expertise and advise end users on communications systems.
Proven ability to work in a team and manage assets across a large fleet of devices.

Responsibilities

Assist and deputise for Team Leader in providing a full communications system support service.
Design, implement and maintain Police Scotland's communications infrastructure in line with strategy and standards.
Advise end users on system usage and collate requirements for management.
Maintain asset management plans for 25,000+ mobile devices and monitor hardware/software performance.
Participate in standby/on-call rota to respond to out-of-hours incidents and urgent events.
