Job summary

Swissport at Glasgow Airport is seeking a part-time Ramp Agent to support the loading/unloading of baggage and cargo, marshal aircraft, and operate ground service equipment. You will play a key role in safe, efficient aircraft handling and customer service on a dynamic operations team.

The position is a fixed-term contract until 31 October 2026, offering 25 hours per week across shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid full UK manual driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
• Marshal aircraft to and from gates with precise positioning.
• Operate ground service equipment (tugs, belt loaders, baggage carts) safely.
• Perform aircraft servicing tasks including cabin cleaning and water replenishment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and hazardous materials guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers and airline partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
• Marshal aircraft to and from gates, ensuring safe and precise positioning.
• Operate ground service equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform aircraft servicing tasks, including cabin cleaning, lavatory servicing, and water replenishment.
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including aircraft marshalling signals and hazardous material handling guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and airline partners.

Qualifications
