Job summary

Swissport UK&I at Belfast International Airport seeks a Head of Airside to lead day-to-day airside services, including ramp, bag hall, and dispatch, ensuring safe, profitable, high-quality performance in line with customer expectations and corporate strategy.

The role requires strong leadership, change management, and ability to drive continuous improvement while coaching staff and developing talent. You will report to the Station Manager and focus on delivering excellence at the airport.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership with large teams and P&L accountability.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leader: ensure compliance with health, safety and company rules across the airport.
• P&L Management: prepare operating budgets and monitor financial/operational performance.
• Leadership and Stakeholder Management: lead unit Heads, mentor staff and engage unions and central functions.
• Quality Focus, Service Delivery and Operational Efficiency: manage resources and KPIs while addressing complaints.
• Business Growth and Strategy: pursue opportunities to maximize market potential and align renewals with P&L objectives.
• Relationship Builder: maintain trust with customers, unions, airport authorities and central support.
