Job summary

Multi Skilled Technician role at Gatwick Airport Limited involves maintaining a diverse range of assets such as X-Ray machines, door access, power generators and pumping stations serving our ponds and waterways.

You will deliver planned, reactive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, maintain CMMS records and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with teams to minimise disruption and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience within a maintenance engineering environment.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification to ONC level, or equivalent experience.
• Electrical Skilled Person ESR 2 certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Knowledge of surface and foul water assets, pumping infrastructure and power generators would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of critical airport assets and infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical, mechanical and control system maintenance to maximise asset availability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS and ensure compliance with regulatory, company and manufacturer requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to health and safety procedures and reporting incidents, hazards and near misses.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to minimise operational disruption, share technical knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Continuously develop technical skills and contribute to the overall performance and capability of the engineering team.
