Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Airport Civil Engineer to join our Aviation team and deliver civil engineering design for airport and airfield projects across the UK and internationally.

You will collaborate with planners, aviation specialists and project managers, supporting feasibility through detailed design, construction and commissioning while progressing towards Chartership with a recognised professional body.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• Progressing towards Chartership with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE).
• Airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery from concept to detailed design.
• Understanding of Airport or Highways pavement design, materials specification and maintenance with UK and international methods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to contribute to project briefs, scopes of work and technical inputs.
• Passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
• Commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design for airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and deliver design solutions to meet programme, budget and client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally to deliver integrated aviation projects.
• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance in design.
