Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) seeks an Airfield Safety & Compliance Officer to manage airside safety, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations at East Midlands Airport. You will liaise with operational teams, service partners, and regulators to maintain a safe operating environment and respond effectively to disruptions.

The role requires experience in airfield operations or safety-critical environments, practical incident investigation skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple

Qualifications

• Experience in airfield operations or safety critical environments.
• Proven ability to lead investigations into safety incidents.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Ability to influence external service partners and coordinate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide airside safety briefings and training to contractors, partners, and staff.
• Liaise during disruptions or emergencies to ensure clear communication and rapid resolution.
• Ensure airside areas and baggage docks are clean and free of FOD.
• Oversee aircraft movements and marshalings using ICAO signals.
• Coordinate and manage airside activities to support on-time aircraft turnarounds.
• Investigate incidents, document evidence, and escalate findings to the Airfield Operations Duty Manager.
