Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Airfield Manager at the Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop, near Stockbridge in Hampshire. You will lead airfield operations, ensure safety, compliance and readiness to support training, visiting aircraft and major events.

You will engage with military and civilian colleagues, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes while maintaining high operational readiness at a nationally important site.

Qualifications

• Experience in airfield or aviation operations management within military or civilian settings.
• Knowledge of MoD aviation regulations and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting aviation safety, compliance, audit or assurance activities.
• Knowledge of occurrence management and aviation safety reporting systems.
• Experience engaging with operational, regulatory and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant management of airfield operations and facilities.
• Oversee aviation safety processes, compliance and change management.
• Plan and coordinate routine, night and contingency flying operations.
• Collaborate with military, civilian and regulatory stakeholders on requirements.
