Job summary

MAG Manchester Airports Group is recruiting an Airfield Operations Lead based at Manchester Airport. This permanent role follows a 4 on, 4 off pattern covering days, nights and relief shifts, with a competitive salary and the opportunity to lead our on-shift Airfield Operations Team to keep flights on schedule and safety standards met.

You will work with partners to resolve incidents, support continuous improvement, and develop the team through strong communication and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a complex operational environment with a focus on safety, compliance and service delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple teams and partners.
• Ability to interpret technical data and make quick, informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-shift Airfield Operations Team to maintain performance against the daily flight schedule and safety standards.
• Collaborate with onsite service partners to ensure flights depart safely and on time.
• Identify and escalate operational incidents, occurrences and risks with effective mitigation.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational performance and safety.
