Job summary

2Excel Group in Lasham, Hampshire, seeks an Airfield Operations Manager to own the safe, secure and compliant management of airfield activities. This role oversees airfield operations, onsite security, emergency response capability and fuel operations to ensure ALARP principles and operational readiness.

You will collaborate with regulators, service providers and airspace users to maintain compliance and readiness, chair Airfield Safety Meetings and drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in airfield operations and safety management.
• Knowledge of UK aviation regulations (CAA/CAP guidance).
• Experience with risk assessments and audits.
• Experience overseeing security incident response.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and control aircraft movements across the airfield.
• Oversee onsite security management and emergency response capability.
• Monitor and review fuel operations, training and safety controls.
• Chair Airfield Safety Meetings and drive safety improvements.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies, incidents and security events.
• Maintain regulatory compliance through audits and records.
• Manage training and competency for operational and security staff.
