Marshall Group is seeking an Aircraft Planner to join our Cambridge-based team. You will translate AMP data, AMM and engineering drawings into clear work instructions and coordinate with Engineering, Production and customers to meet schedule commitments.
Key duties include supporting bid and scheduling processes, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining alignment with airworthiness standards and customer requirements in a hybrid on-site role in Cambridge.
Established in 1909, Marshall is a private equity-backed, independent British mid-tier aerospace and defence company with a proud 100-year heritage supporting governments and prime contractors worldwide. We are a global leader in military MRO, keeping fleets mission-ready - including the C-130 Hercules, which we've supported since 1966 with multiple world-first accreditations. We also design and manufacture precision parts and subsystems for flagship defence programmes under long-term contracts with major OEMs. We are looking for an Aircraft Planner to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of aircraft maintenance programmes. Working closely with Engineering, Production, and customer stakeholders, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and loading work cards that enable maintenance activities to be carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Using customer requirements, Approved Maintenance Programme (AMP) data, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), engineering drawings, and other technical documentation, you will translate complex information into clear, actionable work instructions. This role is critical to ensuring maintenance activities are planned and executed in line with commercial commitments, customer expectations, airworthiness regulations, technical standards, scheduling priorities, and configuration control processes. If you have a passion for aviation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to turn technical data into effective maintenance plans, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities include: Assisting with bid, estimate and scheduling of aircraft inputs by applying technical competence and the ability to work effectively in a team to establish the data, work, resources and task sequence to meet customer and engineering requirements. Providing input into the concurrent engineering process to ensure as far as practicable that technical solutions are optimised for achievement within budget and timescale and that, prior to sign-off, that technical data is correct and meets the requirements to produce work cards and that condition of supply of manufactured parts is agreed.
