Job summary

Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd. is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to support the MFTS operation at RAF Shawbury. The role involves assisting Certifying Engineers and delivering serviceable aircraft to meet the daily flying programme, while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and company procedures.

You will work under supervision on airframe, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems and help manage hangar activities, aircraft movement and general housekeeping within the team.

Qualifications

  • Essential Level 3 Vocational Qualification in Aircraft Engineering or related Engineering Discipline.
  • Experience in an Aviation engineering environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UK CAA regulations and aircraft maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Certifying Engineers with delivering serviceable aircraft for daily flying programme.
  • Ensure compliance with Aviation regulations and company procedures.
  • Carry out maintenance under supervision, focusing on airframe, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Assist in hangar operations and aircraft movement.
