Job summary

Meritus in the United Kingdom is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join a growing Part 145 maintenance operation supporting a range of commercial aircraft types.

You will work alongside B1 Licensed Engineers, assisting with inspections, maintenance checks and preservation, with training towards Part-66 and progression to a B Licence offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable aircraft maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance principles and industry best practice.
• Ability to follow maintenance instructions and procedures accurately.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support B1 Licensed Engineers with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Assist with aircraft arrival inspections, storage programmes and checks.
• Read AMMs and IPCs; further training provided.
• Ensure maintenance tasks follow approved procedures and approvals.
• Assist with aircraft and engine preservation activities including storage prep.
• Raise safety concerns and communicate defects to leadership.
• Participate in daily reviews and team briefings.
• Maintain tools and equipment; conduct inventory checks.
• Promote housekeeping, FOD prevention and workplace safety.
• Support continuous improvement for safety, quality and productivity.
• Contribute to KPIs across safety, quality and delivery.
