Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor at RAF Valley, on the Isle of Anglesey, to lead a depth maintenance team and deliver high-quality aircraft work in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise maintenance tasks, mentor technicians, ensure safety, compliance and airworthiness, and contribute to continuous improvement through hands-on leadership and practical engineering oversight.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship completed (Aeronautical preferred).
• City & Guilds 2675 Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance or NVQ Level 3 Aeronautical.
• Experience with authorities and aircraft platforms.
• Ability to operate safely in safety-critical environments.
• Strong IT competency.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and supervise depth maintenance and diagnostic activities, including inspections, repairs, modifications and system testing.
• Analyse and diagnose faults on aircraft components and recommend improvements.
• Ensure maintenance is completed on schedule and escalate issues.
• Provide leadership within the maintenance facility guiding technicians.
• Carry out MOE compliance-related tasks such as tooling control and oversight checks.
