Job summary

Sodexo Ltd seeks a friendly Inflight Catering Food Service Assistant at RAF Brize Norton. You’ll load and unload catering on aircraft, prep items for service, and support airside operations in a fast-paced environment. Full training provided and colour perception testing required.

You will work closely with military personnel, ensuring stock and service quality while maintaining hygiene standards and handling occasional admin tasks related to catering operations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Basic food handling knowledge is a bonus; full training provided.
• Colour perception test is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload catering equipment and supplies onto aircraft
• Prepare and assemble catering items for flight service
• Operate vehicles on the airfield safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Marshal high-lift vehicles and support airside operations
• Communicate effectively with military personnel
• Support both front and back of house operations—no two days are the same
• Respond to food and beverage enquiries and special requests
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering areas
• Complete daily checklists and compliance documentation accurately
• Assist with basic admin tasks related to operational catering
