Sodexo is recruiting a Food Service Assistant for RAF Brize Norton. The role supports the catering team, delivering high-quality food service in a digital cafe environment, with a focus on customer service and efficient operations.

The position involves early mornings, evenings, and weekends in a fast-paced setting, using digital ordering and payment systems while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: Good verbal communication skills.
• Desirable: Experience working within a military environment; Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates.

Responsabilités

• Support the preparation, cooking, and service of food in line with approved recipes and menu cycles.
• Deliver friendly, efficient customer service in line with company standards.
• Maintain portion control, food quality, and presentation standards.
• Operate digital systems to ensure accurate and efficient transactions.
• Ensure food is served and held at correct temperatures, completing required checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant FOH environment at all times.
• Attend team briefings and complete required training.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, and PPE compliance.
• Report hazards, near misses, accidents, or faulty equipment promptly.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring security requirements are met.
• Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, and client representatives.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Food Service Assistantto support our catering team at RAF Brize Norton in delivering a high-quality food service.

The General food service assistant supports the smooth day to day operation of a digital cafe by providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, maintain high standards of cleanliness.
