Job summary

STS Engine Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Component Mechanic / Certifier to join its Stansted, Essex operation. The role initially focuses on fan cowl hold open rods while expanding other component maintenance capabilities within a Part-145 environment.

You will perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and testing of aircraft components, certify completed maintenance and issue certificates of release to service in line with approved data, MOE, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of aeronautical maintenance experience, including component work.
• Practical ability to disassemble, inspect, repair and test aircraft components.
• Ability to read Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and follow approved procedures.
• Working knowledge of Part-145 requirements and UK CAA/EASA/FAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble aircraft components per maintenance data and scope.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated equipment.
• Certify maintenance and issue release to service within certification privileges.
• Maintain component identification and traceability throughout maintenance.
• Support development of C7 component maintenance capability and QA activities.
