Job summary

STS Engine Services offers an opportunity in Stansted for an experienced Aircraft Component Mechanic / Certifier to contribute to engine maintenance, repair and overhaul operations. The role focuses on component disassembly, inspection, repair and certification under Part-145 guidelines within a busy workshop.

You will certify completed maintenance and issue release to service, maintaining traceability and documentation while ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an aerospace apprenticeship or technical training.
• Two years aeronautical maintenance experience with 12 months in relevant component area.
• Experience in disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing of aircraft components.
• Ability to read Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).
• Experience with engineering drawings and repair schemes.
• Familiarity with Part-145 requirements and UK CAA/EASA/FAA regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with careful attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, reassemble and test aircraft components per approved data and scope.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated equipment.
• Identify and report defects and non-conformities.
• Certify maintenance and issue release certificates within certification privileges.
• Maintain traceability and complete work documentation and records.
• Follow maintenance manuals, procedures and MOE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and QA activities in the workshop.
