Job summary

Leeds Bradford Airport Limited is recruiting an Air Traffic Controller to join our ATC team and help provide safe, efficient air traffic services at Leeds Bradford.

The role requires strong communication, familiarity with MATS Parts 1 & 2, and compliance with regulatory procedures. A UK CAA issued Licence with ADI/APS ratings is desirable; basic criminal record checks apply.

Shift pattern is 6 on 4 off (37 hours per week) with a competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• ATC experience in Class D/G airspace desirable.
• UK CAA issued Licence with ADI/APS ratings desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to pass basic criminal record checks and provide five-year checkable work history.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of ATC services at Leeds Bradford Airport.
• Follow MATS Parts 1 & 2 and Emergency Orders as required.
• Report safety incidents per regulator and internal procedures.
• Liaise with Airport Duty Manager, Airside Operations Unit and Fire Watch Manager.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer focus when representing the department.

To support the ATC team, we are looking to recruit an AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER to join Leeds Bradford Airport, to assist in providing AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES. • The ATC function in accordance with MATS Parts 1 & 2, other regulatory requirements and the requirements of the LBA SMS.
• The initiation of emergency procedures and reporting action in accordance with MATS Parts 1 & 2 and Emergency Orders.
• Reporting of safety incidents in accordance with the established procedures of the regulator or internal Airport Company procedures.
• Specific duties allocated and delegated by the HoATS.
• In conjunction with the Airport Duty Manager, Airside Operations Unit & Fire Watch Manager, the resolution of day-to-day operational safety issues.
• In so far as their duties allow, monitoring personnel and activities, to detect operational safety shortcomings generally.
• Liaison with other operational managers and supervisors.
• To maintain the highest possible standards, professionalism and customer focus when representing the department and the Airport.
  UK CAA Issued Licence with ADI/APS Ratings
• 3 Years Experience of ATC operations in Class D/Class G Airspace (Desirable)
• OJTI and/or Assessor Endorsements (Desirable)
• Met Observers Certificate (Desirable)
• Experience of using Microsoft Office software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Due to security checks required for this role, all candidates will be subject to a basic criminal record check and must be able to provide a continuous five year checkable work history with verified gaps in employment.
