Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an aviation safety engineer to support military and civil aviation safety, airworthiness and certification across lifecycle. You will turn regulatory and design data into clear safety evidence to support certification, modifications and continued operation.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience delivering safety engineering or safety assurance in defence or civil aviation.
• Knowledge of aviation safety, airworthiness, certification, engineering or operations.
• Understanding of systems engineering and engineering lifecycle with clear communication of findings.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of Air System Safety Cases and Type Airworthiness Safety Assessments.
• Develop and maintain hazard logs and assess Equipment Contribution to Risk to Life.
• Produce safety arguments, evidence registers and assessments using FHA, ZHA, FTA, ETA, FMECA and Bow Tie analyses.
