Job summary

WR Logistics in Fleet, Hampshire is seeking an Air Freight Pricing Executive to join its commercial team. The role focuses on preparing quotations, sourcing carrier rates, and supporting pricing enquiries, with a view to developing a career in air freight pricing and commercial operations.

The position is office-based, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities across live rate requests, supplier communications, and maintaining rate integrity to protect margins.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of freight forwarding experience is required.
• Understanding of air freight, ocean freight, road freight, or multi-modal logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially minded with a willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare air freight import and export quotations.
• Obtain rates from airlines, agents, and suppliers.
• Calculate costs and maintain profitable margins.
• Support sales teams with pricing for new business opportunities.
• Manage spot-rate enquiries and customer requests.
• Keep supplier rates and pricing information up to date.
• Monitor market trends, carrier rates and capacity changes.
• Liaise with operational teams to ensure accurate costing.
