Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is seeking an Air Freight Forwarder for our client near Manchester Airport (Wythenshawe). You will manage bookings, pricing and end-to-end shipments, handling documentation and carrier nominations to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in air/sea/road freight forwarding, knowledge of INCOTerms, and strong customer service. Commutable to Wythenshawe with a clear path for progression and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding (air, sea or road).
• Experience in pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air & road freight.
• Desirable knowledge of customs compliance and INCOTerms.
• Excellent customer service experience; commutable to Wythenshawe, Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentation.
• Prepare documents of operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation).
• Nominate carriers, airlines and GSA in line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements.
• Raise customs documentation (ISF, COO, clearance docs) to move freight across borders.
• Conduct customer rate analysis and ensure efficient allocations and operations.

We are actively looking to engage air, sea and road freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as an Air Freight Forwarder at Manchester Airport in Wythenshawe!

Client Details

My client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across the world (in Germany, Spain, USA & more recently in the Far East). You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, AOG, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.

Job Description

As an Air Freight Forwarder you will report in to the Freight Branch Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Wythenshawe office in Manchester:

• Manage air freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation)
• Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
• Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc)
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Air Freight Forwarder will have the following skills and experience:

• 3+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either air, sea or road freight forwarding.
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air & road freight.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance
• Excellent customer service experience
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous
• Commutable to Wythenshawe, Manchester.
