Job description

Air Freight Coordinator – Colnbrook – Up to £34,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join their team in Colnbrook due to business growth.

The role involves coordinating all air freight activities from start to finish.

Job Details:

• Type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break)

Package:

• Up to £34,000 DOE
• 20 days annual leave plus public holidays
• Annual salary reviews
• Death in Service benefit (equivalent to three times your annual salary) after probation
• Private Medical Scheme eligibility after one year of service
• Company contributions to the Group Personal Pension Plan increase to 9% after one year
• Loyalty holiday days up to 5 (1 per full year of employment)

Responsibilities:

• Complete all air import/export jobs accurately and promptly
• Handle customs declaration tasks correctly and timely
• Report any customs declaration amendments immediately to the line manager
• Use and maintain operational systems correctly
• Assist other departments as required
• Provide support and cover for local staff during holidays
• Maintain communication with the network and sales team
• Identify and propose efficiencies in customer workflows
• Liaise with HMRC and maintain customs procedures
• Complete reports by deadlines
• Follow SOPs thoroughly
• Process supplier invoices within 48 hours of receipt
• Ensure correct insurance charges and claims processing
• Propose strategies related to air products to the line manager

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in the freight forwarding sector with a UK freight forwarder (Essential)
• Knowledge of import/export multimodal business
• Skills and knowledge related to air freight sales and products
